Dogs do not know jealousy!

Dogs do not know jealousy!

Every dog owner with two or more dogs knows the phenomenon; You come home and both dogs come out to you to greet you. One dog is just a little earlier with you than the other, but is immediately snubbed by the other dog.

“He is jealous”, it is immediately said.

Unfortunately, this is a typical human trait that we attribute to the dog. Dogs do not know jealousy. Dogs have a ranking. This means that one dog is in rank above the other. When you come home and the lower ranked dog greets you first, he is immediately punished by the higher-ranked dog, because he has the right to be first greeted by the ALFA, the boss.

This is the same in case when, for example, we put bins of feed for the dogs on the ground. One starts eating immediately, but is brutally snipped by the other dog! Why? The highest in ranking has the right to eat first. This behavior also has nothing to do with jealousy. Again, the proven behavior within the hierarchy is decisive.

How do you solve this behavior? Often it is not easy to determine the order of rank between two or more dogs in the house, but you are the leader and you decide the ranking order in your pack. Usually the best solution is to leave the order as it is, as the dogs have already agreed. When the existing order of ranking creates problems, because for example a younger dog wants to take over the position of the older dog, then it is your job as a leader to make the choice to let the older dog pass by the younger dog or vice versa.

A bigger problem arises when two bitches get a ranking order dispute. Bitches will never give up or give in during a ranking battle. Males have one or two times a ranking battle (usually a lot of noise, but without real danger) and they decide their position. The male who has lost the rankings battle will accept his lower position.

Bitches will always continue to fight when the ranking is at stake. They will not want to give in to each other and the fighting can be very fierce, even to cause injuries.

Do you have such a problem … .. I will gladly provide you with free and good advice.

I find it a great pity that nowadays all kinds of “psychological dog-know-it-all persons ” dare to attribute all kinds of human qualities to the dog. They even dare to claim that dogs are happy, sad, even fall in love. This is the biggest betrayal that we can do to our animals !!!

How unfortunate that so many unknowing dog owners accept this immediately as a truth. Because this kind of expression, makes them feel so much better about their dog … .. they really have a second CHILD !!!!

Animals are animals … even dogs are animals! …. Do you get scared of it? How difficult to except this for some readers, dogs are really animals !! Through the humanization of dogs, we become a false and hypocritical partner for our dog. By attributing human characteristics to our dog, the animal is no longer treated fairly. We demand qualities and behavior from him that he does not control !!!

The dog must have the right to remain an animal and should not be treated as a small child, which happens to run on four legs.

“Ooooh ,,, he wags his tail ,,,,,, he is happy !!!”. As long as we are not a dog ourselves, we are never allowed to link a human characteristic to our dog as joy. He wags his tail, because he is in a behavior of excitement or attention. I have seen many dogs who, with their tail wagging, slaughtered another dog or harmed people !!

I admit…. our dogs are the best actors on earth. They constantly show us behaviors that can be explained or interpreted as human. As a result, we are constantly being fooled by the dog, because we misinterpret his behavior.

I myself also hate all sorts of fashionable dog clothes, dresses, pants, rain jackets, even shoes, which owners now impose on their ANIMALS. Animals do not need protective jackets or shoes other than a medical indication or sport. Animals have their own natural protection, such as a coat, for example!

And what is the worst !!! …. the so-called “DOG LOVERS”, who regard the animal as a child or toy, they are the first to distance themselves from their dogs if the animal does not (no longer) meet their expectations.
